The Diary of Mary Rose.

Dear Nobody: The True Diary of Mary Rose edited by Legs McNeil and Gillian McCain
Published by Sourcebooks Fire 4/1/2014

DearNobodyWord of Caution – Dear Nobody is NOT a traditional novel, but rather a collection of actual diary entries and drawings by Mary Rose. The diary format creates a somewhat fragmented story which reflects her life. Her words are haunting and powerful, full of desperation and some hope and the reader feels all of it. Mary Rose writes about her life, her struggles and wonders why it can’t be better. Readers are pulled into the story and we wonder why as well. Why wasn’t her mother there for her, why wasn’t someone else there for her? How could her life have been different? But mostly, I wonder what we can do for the Mary Roses of the future.
